Don Cactus campsite is beside the beach, on the Tropical Coast of Granada province. It is a unique and diverse region; the north is dry and cooler with the intense light of desert; the southern part is rich with torrents and wide valleys where the vegetation runs riot. To the east is one of the least spoilt and most beautiful stretches of the Andalucian Mediterranean coastline. Protected from the cold by the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and warmed by the hot winds from North Africa, it has a subtropical micro climate.
It is the only place in Europe, where tropical plants such as avocados, mangos, papaya, oranges, and the traditional sugar care used in the production of its famous rum, are to be found.
Camping and Caravaning
Don Cactus is a first class campsite of approximately 40.000 square meters. It has modern service and leisure installations. There are also a Bar and Restaurant with terrace with sea views, Supermarket, children’s play area, swimming pool with waterfalls, Jacuzzi, barbecue area, adults outdoor gym, carwash.
It is open all year long, and has special offers, of up to 70 % discount for long stays, during the period September-June.
Bungalows Accommodation
In the campsite there are 21 fully equipped bungalows which can sleep up to 5. These enable you to enjoy the campsite and special atmosphere without renouncing home comforts. Animals are not allowed in the bungalows.

Each bungalow has a terrace, bathroom, kitchen with fridge, microwave, cooking and dining utensils. We remind you that personal items (towels, blankets are not included). Animals aren’t allowed
Tropical pool
Our swimming pool is the heart of our identity. There are two waterfalls, fountains and a Jacuzzi making it the ideal place to relax. There are both changing rooms and hammocks. One part of the pool is specially designed for young children with a beach-like entrance to the water.
The vegetation of the site, along with the sub tropical climate we enjoy, turn it into a veritable tropical style swimming pool. It can be used for most of the year.
First line of the seaside
Piscina Tropical Camping Don Cactus
We are situated on the beach of Carchuna. The beach is sandy, usually is quiet and runs from Cape Sacratif to Calahonda; it is almost 80 m wide and 5 km. long. The sea is clear blue with abundant fish.
Four kilometers to the west there is a nudist beach named La Joya, on the Cape Sacratif headland.
Six kilometers to the east is Cala la Rijana, with its clear turquoise water, it is ideal for diving all year round.

Carchuna is a little village in the nearof the town of Motril 11 km of this, located in the central part of the Costa Granada - Granada province, southeastern Spain. We are 80 km from the city of Granada and 100 km from the cities of Malaga and Almeria.
