Set in a forest clearing on the Blackdown Hills in Devon, between Cullompton and Honiton, Forest Glade Holiday Park provides everything you need for a family holiday or a quiet break out of season. Holiday caravans, camping pods and level sheltered touring pitches set in spacious fields are surrounded by 300 acres of pine forest.

An AA 4-pennant park, family-run for over 30 years, we are open in 2015 from 20 March to 2 November.

Holiday caravans in Devon

We offer self-catering holiday caravans for weekly stays and short breaks. Sleeping up to 6 in 2 bedrooms they make an ideal base from which to explore East Devon, Exmoor, Dartmoor and local towns and cities such as Exeter, Honiton and Taunton. Some of our holiday caravans are pet-friendly.

Camping and touring in Devon

Touring caravans, motor homes and tents are welcome on our flat, sheltered pitches. Many have electric hook-ups and we have hard standings and grass pitches available.

Our big camping field, the Five Acre Field, is great for families, groups of friends, scouts, guides, and rallies. Pets are welcome.

Glamping in Devon

New to Forest Glade in 2013 our camping pods have been specially designed for us. Sleeping up to 4 they are a cosy alternative to camping.

Facilities

Facilities on the park include a free indoor heated swimming pool, shop with off-licence and take away, children's play areas, games room, tennis court, sauna and forest walks. Our central amenities building provides free hot showers, family and parent and baby rooms, washing up facilities, a laundry room and a campers kitchen. WiFi is available, at a charge, and covers most of the main park.

As peace and quiet is an important ingredient of a holiday at Forest Glade, we do not have a club, bar or evening entertainment. There are however several excellent local pubs.

We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate single sex groups or groups of young people.

Welcome to our camping and caravan park situated in mid Devon, near the Somerset border.

Our grass camping pitches are level and sheltered and many have electric hook-ups. Some are suitable for large tents. Our gravel touring pitches all have electric hook-ups and we have full-service pitches available. Motor homes are welcome. Want to try 'glamping' - our camping pods are a cosy alternative to campng. A large camping field is open in high season and rallies and groups are welcome.

All prices are per night for 2 adults, unit and car

Charges include VAT, free showers, free hot water for basins and dishwashing, and unlimited use of our free indoor heated swimming pool.

Arrival time 2.30 pm, departure time 11.00 am, unless by special arrangement.

Minimum stay 1 night (except summer holiday weekends - 2 nights, and bank holidays - 3 nights)

Booking deposit (non-refundable) - £70.00 per week or £10.00 per night.

Special rates available for longer stays (not high season) - £95.00 per week for 2 adults, unit, car and electric. Minimum stay - 7 nights. Not including Bank Holidays, Easter and October half-term.

Large tents with electric - We can accommodate these but only on certain standard pitches. Please check availability before booking.

Touring caravan storage - (Payable in advance) - £6.50 per week with discounts for payments of 6 or 12 months in advance. See our 'Caravan Storage' page for more details, or please telephone or email us.

Forest Glade Holiday Park has three types of holiday caravan available for short breaks and for stays of a week or more throughout the season.

Why not book a caravan for your family holiday? You would be surprised how well equipped and spacious they are.

Or what about a short break? Available throughout the year, why not come for a relaxing caravan holiday in Devon in spring or autumn. Our prices are reasonable, especially in the quieter out of season months.

Our caravans are all fully equipped, sleeping up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms. Everything is provided, except linen and small electrical appliances such as hairdryers.

CULM - Brand new this year, these modern 12' wide holiday caravans have double glazing and central heating, an ideal choice for spring and autumn when it's cooler. They are the same size as the Blackdown and the Otter with 2 bedrooms and facilities as above. We've included some little extras in these such as a dvd player. These are pet-free.

BLACKDOWN – Kept strictly pet-free, these modern 12’ wide holiday caravans have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, which makes into a double. In some caravans the twin room also has a fold-down bunk.

In addition there is a fold-out double bed in the lounge/diner.

OTTER – Pets are welcome in these 12’ wide holiday caravans. The accommodation provided is similar to the Blackdown although the layouts are all slightly different.

Where to go and what to seeForest Glade is an ideal centre for a holiday in the countryside, touring the Westcountry or exploring rural Devon. Numerous lanes, little changed over the years, wind their way through the beautiful countryside. You will see why the Blackdown Hills is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

For those who wish to leave their cars behind there are some lovely walks to choose from, both in the forest and out into the surrounding countryside, with views across the Culm Valley towards Exmoor, Dartmoor and the East Devon coast.

Because of its unique position Forest Glade guests have easy access to the whole of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, including Exmouth with its two miles of sandy beaches to Lyme Regis with its famous harbour. North Devon, Barnstaple and Minehead are within easy reach, as is South Devon and parts of Cornwall.

For the sporting visitor there are many activities locally including coarse and fly fishing, horse riding, gliding, golf, microlighting and flying.

Caravan Storage in DevonForest Glade Holiday Park is very popular with customers who wish to use a 'store and stay' service.

Many of our storage customers use their caravans on the park. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to tow your caravan out onto a pitch. There is no tow out fee, but there is a minimum stay of 2 nights. We ask you to book a pitch, with a deposit, at busy times such as all the bank holidays, Easter and throughout the school summer holidays. Over Bank Holiday weekends the minimum stay is 3 nights. We offer a £1.75 per night discount on the standard pitch fees in high season, and a £1.00 per night discount in low and mid season (only one discount applies).
